Travelling SEAsia - my massive review. Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand (Shenzhen, Macau). Motorbike & vegan travel tips

Mammoth post incoming..... I read a lot of posts in this thread and others to help me prepare for my first time backpacking in South East Asia, used mostly reddit and youtube to collect information and in return to all the helpful people who advised me, I want to add a bit to the info out there. This was our first time backpacking in Asia but we have both travelled a decent amount, apologies to those seasoned backpackers who might eye roll at the obvious things I point out! And how long this post is! few linked included where possible.
I travelled with my boyfriend (both in our mid 20s) for 7 weeks from Nov 2019 to Jan 2020 covering 4 countries; Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. We travelled as a couple, not really looking for the typical hostel/partying experience. I had spots/cities we wanted to stop in picked out more so I could check that our return flight back gave us enough time (bf had job to come back for). For those interest I travelled with 40l backpack (Osprey ladies size I recommend for small gals). and 15l day back and boyfriend had 65l backpack. I really reccommend getting up to date on vaccines and/or visiting somewhere like Nomad travel (UK major cities only) for additional shots. We also bought a medical kit from them which came in very handy and I would buy THIS one (works out cheaper than making your own).
Our original plan was to buy a motorbike in Ho Chi Minh and then use that as our main mode of transport to bike across Cambodia and then finally go to Bangkok, so there's a section about bikes at the end.
I am plant based / have a pretty strong dairy intolerance, so I'll add a section about travelling as a 'vegan' as I found it more difficult to get concrete advice on that before I left.
We are from UK so our budget/prices we evaluated against £ GBP
Hong Kong - this was the most built up and relatively similar experience to our lives at home and eased us pretty gently into travel. I would compare Hong Kong to a metropolitan place like London. We stayed in the Wan Chai district and would recommend the are for first timers. Not as expensive as the Central District and gives more local flavour with the street markets which you are likely to explore or pass through on the way to the MTR. Stay on Hong Kong Island over the peninsula as a lot of activities are there and though it is more compact you get a good sense of what HK is really like.
Prices - cost of restaurants was about the same as home - £8-10+ for a meal. Transport - incredibly cheap, routes often less than £1 or 50p Lots of 7/11 and Circle K with reasonable prices for snacks or eating in
Things we did: - Victoria Peak - there are some views more 'within' the city if you take the giant escalator up and walk a bit further as opposed to going straight to the top - Mong Kok area and surrounding markets - Hong Kong museum - quite dated and nothing on history of recent years but it is free - Hong Kong Peninsula night time view of HK island (symphony of lights show) - Temple Street night market - Dragon's Back - this was easy to get to via bus and a nice welcome break from the city. An easy hike. - Ching Chung Koon, Tao temple - really beautiful temple with turtles, easy trip by bus to visit
Shenzhen - We went to Shenzhen as we wanted to see what China was like and had some intrigue about it being a Special Economic Zone. My advice to absolutely everyone, unless you know of something on the other side you want to see, is do not go.
We read that it was free to enter but you would have to get a short stay visa stamp. We ended up stuck in immigration after getting off the MTR for about 2 hours, first you must go and get a photo and a visa put in your passport which includes filling our a form and being asked a few questions about your stay, then you go downstairs and fill our a landing card, get fingerprinted and then pass through to Shenzhen. There isn't a clear explanation as to where these different rooms are to get the whole process done and you're at the mercy of how busy the waiting rooms are for how quick you get out, no visas would be ready and then they would surge in 10 being ready for collection at once.
Shenzhen was a very homogenous city, we couldn't find any historical sites or areas designed for non Chinese to engage with the local fare, though bare in mind Shenzhen is absolutely huge and we were short on time after arriving later. Tube system is cheap and in English and we used cash to pay. When we tried to use bank cards to take out more money I had no luck with Mastercard, Visa and Visa credit card at more than one ATM. The best part of the trip was a small antique shop in the train terminal with genuine trinkets, pottery etc. The guy was quite fair with our haggling too.
Macau - Again we visited this as another special zone outside of HK. Again unfortunately I don't recommend going. To us, Macau was missing all the parts of the Vegas strip that would make a high concentration of casinos together worthwhile; no smoking indoors, no open carry on alcohol on the streets, no street vendors or anything to create an interesting people-watching street, not helped by how spread out all the casinos were from one another. We visited the Venetian which brought us away from the casinos on the ferry side of Macau, so that might have made a difference. The Venetian at Macau had the same feeling as The Trafford Centre if UK readers are familiar with it. If you have been there you'll have your own opinion about it and use that to inform going to Macau.
Hong Kong Protests - Before leaving for HK I'd been keeping up with the protest news. Though by November the 'peak' of protests seemed to have passed a lot in UK news there were still plenty of reports of violent clashes daily. From digging around online I felt that it was still safe to go but just to be mindful of large groups of people collecting or the university area. Whilst we were in HK we didn't see anything that alarmed us or made us feel unsafe. While I don't think the media outlets were incorrectly reporting protest clashes, the actual volume of them appears to be exaggerated (but that's how news makes money, right..). We saw graffiti at most MTR stations and some bus stations that had english text posters and print outs explaining the situation that were even updated overnight to new developments like Trump's treaty. One mall we tried to go to adjacent to some university buildings was closed and the MTR next to it was all smashed up but other than graffiti we felt very safe when wandering round the city both day and night. I would say the university area probably needs the most caution, but if the MTR is stopping there again then there has probably been improvement.
Vietnam - We flew into Ho Chi Minh city, stayed for about 3 days. I'm curious to return to Vietnam in the North of the country, while the South was very interesting to see I was more than ready to move on after about 8 days. Didn't really get a good feeling out of HCMC; extremely loud, sticky, busy place. The best thing we did was go to the War Remnants Museum, things like the old post office were interesting but they don't really take up much of your day. A phone sim for 2 weeks with unlimited data was easy to get and cost less than £10 I think.
HCMC is a good place to take advantage of cheap taxis and cheap food. We could get a good meal and a soft drink/smoothie for £2.50/£3, grab taxi was about £1 anywhere and £1.50 in a grab car, Circle K essentials like a sewing kit were about £2.
Would recommend the Grab app for getting around - though it wasn't my favourite place we visited, I was really able to appreciate the pace and culture of the city zipping through little side streets on the back of the bike from District 1 down to other places in Chinatown area.
There are plenty of markets to visit, but when you've seen the stuff at one the others aren't really much different and people didn't really want to haggle with us.
We did a Mekong Delta day trip, though I'm not always a big fan of a guided tour this was fun and worth going on. Have a look on a site like Klook and pick something that sounds interesting and in budget - we visited temples, honey farm, coconut farm, held some snakes, traditional boat on Mekong and lunch for about £18 each for everything.
Nha Trang - we visited here as somewhere in South Vietnam by the sea before heading westways for the rest of the trip. It was a much calmer and quieter city than HCMC but I'm not sure I would visit again, very windy in November. An unbelievable amount of Russians here, more built up and developed than I was anticipating too. Long Son Pagoda and Ba Ho waterfalls were good to visit, though Ba Ho seemed to be having a very big touristy development built on it which was a weird contrast to the very difficult to climb and almost untouched waterfalls. We biked to Bai Dai beach - just make sure to take the first turn down to the beach before you hit the strip of resorts being built because it goes on forever and they won't let you through for access to the sand. Beautiful views on the way down but can see the whole area and Vietnam in general being swallowed up by package resort tourism which is a shame.
Cambodia - This ended up being my favourite country of the visit. Though there's not really pavements or waste management or sewage and you can't drink the water etc, but there was little rampant tourism, people were kind, the weather was great and we saw some beautiful places. Phone sim will cost you about $5 and you can only top up limited data about $5 for 8GB.
Prices - Cambodia has 2 currency system with USD and riel though most of the time you're using USD (4,000 r = $1). I felt like because of USD prices were rounded up a bit more so it was still cheap, but more expensive than Vietnam. Eating out probably about $5-7 or more if you're not holding back. There aren't many chain stores in Cambodia so you're at the mercy of individual places for a good selection of snacks and then hopefully not grossly inflated prices especially on Western imports ($2.50+ for pringles?). I did find that pharmacies were cheap. Make sure you haggle with tuk tuks or use PassApp, but that app needs some work so it's often easier to take one that's in the street. In PP/SKampot getting around we paid no more than $3. In SR to go to the airport $7.
We took a bus to Phnom Penh from HCMC which made the border crossing quite easy. We had e-visa already printed out etc but it didn't seem to make our waiting time any shorter but saved us having to fill out any forms at border control.
Phnom Penh - felt a lot nicer than HCMC as soon as we got there really. Still hot and dirty and hassled like hell for tuk tuks but I felt more kindness from Cambodians. Compared to HCMC this was a whole lot quieter and more relaxed. Not every building has a formal address so if you're not staying at a hotel (airbnb) bear in mind you might need more visual instructions to find your stay.
We stayed near the Royal Palace and the area round there, though more for expats was chilled out and there were local markets, not far to walk to temples and sites etc. There are a few hotels in this area with pools if you need to cool off. The one we tried we just took the lift up to the roof no problem, but I had messaged another nearby that said it was for residents only.
Siem Reap - though this city is pretty much here for Angkor Wat tourism I enjoyed being here not just to see the temples. We stayed at THIS airbnb which was very reasonable and probably one of our favourite stays. No pool but there were a few places nearby that were happy to let us use theirs, we just bought drinks and food. There are a few temples in the city near the city where you can see fruit bats all in the trees. The river here is nice, big market, lots of cats.
Angkor Wat: we bought a 3 day pass and went on a sunrise tour one morning and then did our own thing on the other days. Doing the tour means you get up and in for sunrise at the right time and it's good to get some history about the places you're seeing. Angkor Wat temple itself wasn't the most interesting to me and there are hundreds if not thousands of people there in the morning that makes it a lot less enjoyable. We also visited:
Ta Phrom - temple from Tomb Raider Angkor Thom city gates Bayon Temple - this was a cool 2 storey temple that is merged with depictions of Hinduism and Buddhism Preah Khan
You can hire a tuk tuk driver for a day around $15 mark or you can hire electric bikes in SR centre and take those around (tourists not allowed to ride motorbikes in temple complex) $5 for 24hrs. Just make sure to give your electric bike a good charge beforehand as the battery doesn't always read right. There is a restaurant in the complex you can swap your battery at - the whole temple area is an extremely large place, you can be 15mins drive in between spots so plan carefully.
Koh Rong Island - we took a flight from SR down to Sihanoukville to then get the ferry across to Koh Rong. Our flight ended up being delayed by 12 hours (welcome to Cambodia) so we had to stay a night in Sihanoukville and go across the following day. Travelling from Sihanouk airport to Sihanouk we had to wear bandanas over our faces to stop breathing in the dust, even though only one window in the car was cracked, it's hella dirty. If you are travelling from the airport to town I highly discourage taking a tuk tuk or rickshaw; the roads are not well surfaced in a more extreme manner than what I saw in PP and SR, there are a lot of freight trucks which will need to be over or undertaken in order for the journey to not take hours. Taxis are unfortunately the most expensive here and the journey cost $20.
Sihanoukville - I'm told recent infiltration and development of Sihanouk by the Chinese has completely transformed the city in the last 2/3 years at an incredible rate with no care for the local Khmer population. It was possibly the worst place I've ever visited. Dusty and dirty on another level, open building sites and construction absolutely everywhere. Very young looking boy in a digger pulling up the pavement less than 5ft from a busy restaurant. I had to climb up a 3ft pile of loose rubble to get to an ATM because the whole side of the road had been obliterated.
If you are waiting for the ferry on Beach Road and you need an ATM but they're all broken like they were when I was there in December, there is an ATM on the actual pier. I was stressing about taking money out for Koh Rong as I heard there was no way to get cash on the island but when I was there I saw a few places that offered cash out (but I didn't try them).
I reccommend reading THIS reddit thread and the LINKED article by a Chinese blogger about Sihanouk.
I read THIS travelfish article about Koh Rong which was very helpful too. I had an impression from the article that the island is quite under developed, which in some ways was definitely true, however it was easy to do what we wanted and we didn't struggle for places to eat etc. We stayed on the main pier (though really this is still a small strip of restaurants and shops, no resorts) and spent most of our time on White Sand Beach. Koh Rong could not be any more different than Sihanouk and it was a great place to spend Christmas and unwind. We didn't do much other than swim and lie on the beach and it was great! There were boat tours to take but a lot seemed to end with 'free drink and party' and we weren't interested in that. Prices on the island were the same as PP/SR. The only things that were a lot more expensive were activities - someone had a jetski you could rent for $100.. and there was some tree top zip line you could do for about $20.
We visited 4k beach next door which was a lot more remote, beautiful as well but only one option to eat. We came past Coconut Beach when we left on the speedboat and that looked to a bit less than the main pier but still stocked with a good few options. Overall the food we had on Koh Rong was some of the best!
Kampot - A small town/city on the river. Very chilled with a nice central part of town with good places to eat. There are hardly any big hotels or buildings over 3 stories - it felt like a more real Khmer place than somewhere like Siem Reap. From Kampot you can visit Bokor Mountain, Kep, salt fields, a lot of natural escapes. Unfortunately we both got very sudden aggressive gastro-bug or food poisoning so we spent 5 days pretty much inside doing nothing (was going to happen at some point). Kampot was a quiet place and we were able to recover well here though.
Kampot to Koh Chang - From Kampot we travelled to Koh Chang, Thailand. I'd seen some speculation online that it wasn't possible to do this trip in one day, but having done it I can say yes it is but it is a long day. Almost every bus trip we took on our adventure meant that we lost all of the day (no motorways in Viet/Cambodia) however the quality of transport means it can take even longer. Vietnam was good with sleeper or semi sleeper buses, however in Cambodia our 6.5 hour trip from Kampot to the Thai border at Trat was 16 people in a 12 seater minibus plus a baby.. so bear in mind long distance trips in Cambodia can be testing! From Trat border we got a minibus to the bus station, then a songalew/thai taxi to the ferry and then a minibus took us to our hotel on the other side [12 hour trip].
Thailand - Much more infastructure and felt more modern than Cambodia and Vietnam, but I couldn't really get a vibe for the place and felt like a lot had been lost to the prevalent tourism. I would maybe visit again but staying away from coastal areas - if felt like the Spain of South East Asia.
Prices could be a little more on top of Cambodian prices but you could find cheap places to eat. About £5 for a meal. Taxis cost about £3 through Grab. 7/11 and Family Mart very cheap snacks for pennies.
Bangkok - as this was our last stop we didn't travel to many temples or big spots outside the city because money haha... we stayed away from the expat areas, the Museum of Art & Culture had a cool free exhibition, the malls Siam Discovery, Siam Paragon are worth visiting for the food halls and just to see. Where we stayed had a pool so we took it pretty easy. Went to Chatachuk but too much tourist and sweat..
Bikes:
We bought a bike in HCMC via facebook marketplace - I would suggest if you know anyone Viet to get them to help you get the true price because as a tourist you're probably seeing an inflated price tag. If not that it might be possible to get one from another backpacker, but then you may be at the mercy of any damages or issues with the bike they're not aware of as they aren't familiar with bikes.
We took our bike (Honda Cub c 50) to Nha Trang with us stowed in our sleeper bus - we visited a few bus trip/tourist places and one was happy to do it for us. I think for 2 people and the bike was about £23 one way, so not bad at all. You'll have to empty the fuel before it goes in the bus so just remember that at the other end you might have to give your bike a min to run the fuel through it again. We sold it in Nha Trang because it wasn't quite powerful enough to get us around with any bags (i was not in charge of buying bike haha...). Bikes are more than easy to rent in every country we went to for probably £5 a day max. We had a bike in Koh Chang but I know in Thailand there are more rules about tourist rental so I would swerve riding on the mainland. The most hectic place we rode was HCMC so I would just suggest avoiding that if you can, even if you ride in your home country.
We sold our bike in Nha Trang via facebook marketplace. We took a loss but it was more about cutting our dead weight before the rest of our trip so to speak. If you really want to ride a lot in SEAsia, Cambodia has no restrictions on tourists having bikes up to 125cc if you want to play the legal legal route (not that I saw any police in Cambodia over 3 weeks!). A bike is also a responsibility and if you're wanting to feel completely free while travelling it might not be right to buy one. Do thorough research! I travelled with a full face helmet and I was grateful for it on windy rides and hectic places likes HCMC. If you're not planning on riding a lot then this is definitely not essential but finding a full face helmet, that fits, that isn't too bootleg to break on you might be some things to consider (bare in mind I was planning on doing long rides when planning this trip initially).
Veganism / plant based / special diets: As mentioned I have strong intolerance to all dairy products and am generally vegan; I still eat eggs maybe once a week and might have fish and chips a few times a year.
With the exception to intolerances and allergies I think the best approach to eating in South East Asia or travelling in general is be willing to be flexible. I only like to eat plant based, but I'm happy to eat eggs and at a push will eat fish or chicken. This is obviously not what I want to do for every meal but consider that you might be getting places late at night, options that are clearly described in English as not containing your allergens may only have meat in them etc.
When I travelled to Japan and also for all these countries, I wrote 'I cannot eat dairy etc' in English on Google translate and then screenshotted the response in the desired language if I needed to show someone to confirm ingredients. For Japan I looked up pre made examples as I know the kanji can sometimes not translate directly, but here I just had the google translate page as a back up.
Hong Kong - a lot of English spoken here and a lot of specifically vegan places however they are more expensive. At 7/11 they sell the 'Kind' granola bars which are vegan and yummy! and I also ate the ready made egg and rice sushi balls. Some ingredients were listed in English but I don't remember finding any other easy go-to's. At bakeries, of which there are a lot, almost everything appears to be cream filled, buttered, flaky pastry. I found I could eat walnut and raisin breads without any noticeable issues, but I didn't have an ingredients list to check.
Vietnam - in HCMC I was very lucky to be staying down the road from a fully vegan restaurant that had ice cream, vegan banh mi, smoothies etc (Healthy World in District 1, there is another somewhere else in the city). Tofu was on menus and on an English menu in a Viet place I could safely pick something veggie. Asking for a dish to be 'chay' means veggie and that works too. Because everything is so cheap, it seemed to be easy enough to eat here. Desserts were limited with the exception of a vegan shop.
They do have Oreos, in general for all these countries, I hope you like Oreos because they're the only dessert option most place !
Cambodia - Sometimes easy and sometimes not. Tofu did appear on menus, I would recommend trying Tofu Lok Lak as a veggie Khmer dish (it will probably come with a fried egg) and I was able to ask for curries just veggie or with tofu. I ate mostly eggs and toast of some kind for breakfast because that was a filling option. Every city I was in there was at least one vegan cafe or restaurant that was not too much more ££ than a normal meal so I knew at least I could get myself something nice and safely vegan every other day while keeping a budget. I was concerned about Koh Rong being a remote island that I would struggle to eat but this was one of the best places! There is a purely veggie/vegan restaurant on the main pier, as well as other restaurants offering vegan pizza, veggie pad thai, tofu curries etc. I also found a second kind of chocolate biscuit that wasn't an Oreo here!
Koh Chang/Thailand - though we were back to having access to 7/11 the options seemed more limited and Thailand was my least favourite place to eat. In 7/11 I did find a few different kinds of Almond milk (& oreos!) but ingredients were rarely in English. Some options at the food halls were inari sushi, Subway (hash browns) and a few other (but more pricey) dedicated vegan restaurants in the central district.
You deserve a medal if you made it this far - any questions please ask me, thanks :-)

Part 2: A Timeline of Epstein, Trump, Sex Trafficking, and the Intelligence Community

I don't think John DeCamp gets everything right, especially his claims about satanic groups, but in 1988 we learn about the Franklin Coverup, which Wikipedia describes as:
"The Franklin child prostitution ring allegations began in June 1988 in Omaha, Nebraska and attracted significant public and political interest until late 1990, when separate state and federal grand juries concluded that the allegations were unfounded and the ring was a "carefully crafted hoax."[1][2].
From the NYT:
(12/18/88) A Lurid, Mysterious Scandal Begins Taking Shape in Omaha
In the Executive Board's public session Monday, Mr. Chambers said the activities of Lawrence E. King Jr., the credit union's manager for the last 18 years and the central figure in its collapse, were ''just the tip of an iceberg, and he's not in it by himself.'' But Mr. Chambers added nothing that would shed light on his cryptic assertion....Mr. King is a 44-year-old Omaha resident who wholly or partly owns several small businesses here and lives with his wife and school-age son in a large house in one of the city's better neighborhoods. He is a tall, expansive figure well known for his costly style of dressing, lavish celebrations and extensive travel, sometimes in chartered jets and often with an entourage of young men.In 1972 he headed a national political organization, Black Democrats for George McGovern. But he gained greater prominence after he had switched parties a while later, serving for a time as vice chairman of the National Black Republican Council, an official affiliate of the Republican Party, and becoming a familiar figure on the Republican social scene.Mr. King has maintained a $5,000-a-month residence off Embassy Row in Washington and has also entertained generously at Republican National Conventions. At the 1984 gathering, in Dallas, where he sang the national anthem on the convention floor, he rented the ranch where the television series ''Dallas'' is filmed and organized a party there for black Republicans....Mr. King's trouble with the authorities came to the surface early last month when officials of the Government's National Credit Union Administration, acting on information from the F.B.I. and the Internal Revenue Service, arrived at the offices of the Franklin Community Federal Credit Union and shut it down. Then, on Nov. 14, the agency, which oversees the nation's federally chartered credit unions and insures their deposits, filed the Government suit against Mr. King, whose salary as Franklin Community's manager had been less than $17,000 a year.
(1989) Washington Call Boy Scandal
Craig J. Spence (1941 – November 10, 1989) was a Republican) lobbyist who was found dead in a Ritz-Carlton hotel room in 1989.[1][2] ...Spence was implicated in a gay call-boy ring scandal, that arranged after-hours visits to the White House, the Washington Times and other papers reported in June 1989. Afterward, Spence committed suicide in a Boston hotel....Spence's name came to national prominence in the aftermath of a June 28, 1989 article in the Washington Timesidentifying Spence as a customer of a homosexual escort service being investigated by the Secret Service, the District of Columbia Police and the United States Attorney's Office for suspected credit card fraud. The newspaper said he spent as much as $20,000 a month on the service. He had also been linked to a White House guard who has said he accepted an expensive watch from Mr. Spence and allowed him and friends to take late-night White House tours.[4]Spence entered a downward spiral in the wake of the Washington Times exposé, increasingly involving himself with call boys and crack,[5] and culminating in his July 31, 1989 arrest at the Barbizon Hotel on East 63rd St in Manhattan for criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of cocaine.[6]Months after the scandal had died down, and a few weeks before Spence was found in a room of the Boston Ritz-Carlton Hotel, he was asked who had given him the "key" to the White House. Michael Hedges and Jerry Seper of The Washington Times reported that "Mr. Spence hinted the tours were arranged by 'top level' persons", including Donald Gregg, national security adviser to Vice President George H. W. Bush at the time the tours were given.[5]When pressed to identify who it was who got him inside the White House, Spence asked "Who was it who got [long-term CIA operative] Félix Rodríguez) in to see Bush?", agreeing that he was alluding to Mr. Gregg.[5]Gregg himself dismissed the allegation as "absolute bull", according to Hedges and Seper. "It disturbs me that he can reach a slimy hand out of the sewer to grab me by the ankle like this," he told the reporters. "The allegations are totally false."[5]
I'll let you decide how credible you find any of this so far. It should be noted that many of the people implicated in these affairs -- Wilson, Singlaub, Moon, Casey, Rodriguez, Bush, Stone, and Gregg -- were also involved to varying degrees in the Iran Contra Affair, which illegally raised money for anti-communist terrorists in Central America through the use of death squads, rape, and drug sales. One does not necessarily equal the other, but sexual blackmail and human trafficking don't seem like much of a stretch.
An article by The Guardian notes:
Czechoslovakia ramped up spying on Trump in late 1980s, seeking US intel:
In summer 1987, Donald and Ivana Trump visited Moscow and Leningrad, following a personal invitation from the Soviet ambassador in Washington, Yuri Dubinin. The trip was arranged by Intourist, a travel agency that was also an undercover KGB outfit. Soon after returning from Moscow, Trump announced he was thinking of running for president. That presidential bid failed to materialise. In October 1988, on the eve of the US election, Ivana Trump visited her parents in Zlín, known at the time as Gottwaldov. According to the files she “confidently” predicted Bush’s victory to her father, who in turn passed the tip to local StB officers.“The outcome of the election confirmed the veracity of this information,” StB field agent Lt Peter Surý wrote, in a document dated 23 January 1989 and marked “secret”.The prediction came “from the highest echelons of power in the US”. Ivana was “not only a well-heeled US citizen” but moved in “very top political circles”, Surý stated....It is unclear when the KGB began a file on the future president. In Prague about 60,000 StB documents were declassified in the mid-1990s, after the collapse of communism. The StB destroyed most records. However, secret memos written by the KGB chief, Vladimir Kryuchkov, in the mid-1980s reveal that he berated his officers for their failure to cultivate top-level Americans. Kryuchkov circulated a confidential personality questionnaire to KGB heads of station abroad, setting out the qualities wanted from a potential asset.According to instructions leaked to British intelligence by the KGB defector Oleg Gordievsky, they included corruption, vanity, narcissism, marital infidelity and poor analytical skills. The KGB should focus on personalities who were upwardly mobile in business and politics, especially Americans, the document said.
Another article in the Chicago Tribune notes:
Czechoslovakia secret police file: Trump sure of presidential win — in 1996:
A year before the 1989 collapse of communism in many parts of Europe, details about Ivana Trump's 1988 visit back to her homeland were recorded in a classified police report. The Oct. 22, 1988 report claimed that Trump refused to run for president in 1988 — despite alleged pressure to do so — because he felt, at 42, he was too young. But the secret report said he intended to run in the 1996 U.S. presidential race as an independent, when he would be 50."Even though it looks like a utopia, D. TRUMP is confident he will succeed," the police report said, based on information from an unspecified source who talked to Ivana Trump's father, Milos Zelnicek, about her visit. It was unclear where the alleged "pressure" was coming from. [Note: In "Get Me Roger Stone", Stone claims he was the one who convinced Trump to run.]...Trump's first wife was born Ivana Zelnickova in 1949 in the Czechoslovak city of Gottwaldov, the former city of Zlin that just had been renamed by the Communists, who took over the country in 1948. She married Trump, her second husband, in 1977. As she kept traveling home across the Iron Curtain on a regular basis, Ivana became a tempting target for the powerful, deeply feared Czechoslovak secret police agency known as the StB.
And by at least 1989, Trump himself was in the social circle of both Iran Contra figures and the father of Epstein's alleged "madame", Ghislaine Maxwell:
(This is from a previous post I made, seen here. Some of the links are subscription only, but are provided for accuracy)
NY Daily News - May 5, 1989:
“Everybody, but everybody at the party aboard British media mogul Robert Maxwell’s yacht Wednesday night had to doff their shoes before boarding the plush-carpeted “Lady Ghislaine.” Maxwell insisted, and his guests cooperated, including Donald Trump (minus Ivana), who has a much bigger yacht and was happy to compare notes with Maxwell. [Note: This is in reference to the Kingdom 5KR, originally owned by Adnan Khashoggi, international arms dealer and uncle of slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi.] There were John Tower [Republican Senator in charge of the Tower Commission, which investigated Iran Contra]; ex-Navy secretary John Lehman [Reagan appointee 1981-1987], now with Paine Webber; lawyer Tom Bolan [law partner of Roy Cohn]; literary agent Mort Janklow [clients include both Nancy and Ronald Reagan for their memoirs]; UN envoy Thomas Pickering [currently a board member at the world’s biggest pipe company, OAO TMK, in Moscow and Chairman of the Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Foundation, “a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC that supports programs to improve the health of children worldwide”]; and Peter Kalikow, owner of the New York Post [awarded the Israel Peace Medal in 1982; created a super PAC for Herman Cain that was later revealed to be entirely financed by his donations]; Maxwell’s daughter, Ghislaine, and his niece, Helene Atkin of Macmillan, the publishing house Maxwell recently took over."[Note: This sentence wasn't in the Daily News article but shows up in a St Louis Dispatch piece a week later]: “Maxwell, who weighs about 300 pounds, went over the guest list personally.""No one could tell who didn’t make the final list, but we do know that Martha Smilgis of Time was disinvited by David Adler, public relations chief at Macmillan. She wrote the profile of Maxwell which he apparently did not like.”
Who was Ghislaine’s father?
Ian Robert Maxwell "MC (10 June 1923 – 5 November 1991), born Ján Ludvík Hyman Binyamin Hoch, was a British media proprietor and Member of Parliament (MP). Originally from Czechoslovakia, Maxwell rose from poverty to build an extensive publishing empire….Maxwell had a flamboyant lifestyle, living in Headington Hill Hall in Oxford, from which he often flew in his helicopter, and sailing in his luxury yacht, the Lady Ghislaine. He was notably litigious and often embroiled in controversy, including about his support for Israel at the time of the 1948 Palestine war. In 1989, he had to sell successful businesses, including Pergamon Press, to cover some of his debts. In 1991, his body was discovered floating in the Atlantic Ocean, having fallen overboard from his yacht. He was buried in Jerusalem. Maxwell's death triggered the collapse of his publishing empire as banks called in loans. His sons briefly attempted to keep the business together, but failed as the news emerged that the elder Maxwell had stolen hundreds of millions of pounds from his own companies' pension funds. The Maxwell companies applied for bankruptcy protection in 1992....Shortly before Maxwell's death, a former employee of Israel's Military Intelligence Directorate, Ari Ben-Menashe, approached a number of news organisations in Britain and the U.S. with the allegation that Maxwell and the Daily Mirror's foreign editor, Nicholas Davies, were both long-time agents for Mossad. Ben-Menashe also claimed that in 1986, Maxwell had told the Israeli Embassy in London that Mordechai Vanunu had given information about Israel's nuclear capability to The Sunday Times, then to the Daily Mirror. Vanunu was subsequently kidnapped by Mossad and smuggled to Israel, convicted of treason and imprisoned for eighteen years.Ben-Menashe's story was ignored at first, but eventually The New Yorker journalist Seymour Hersh repeated some of the allegations during a press conference in London held to publicise The Samson Option, Hersh's book about Israel's nuclear weapons. On 21 October 1991, two MPs, Labour's George Galloway and the Conservative's Rupert Allason (also known as espionage author Nigel West), agreed to raise the issue in the House of Commons under Parliamentary Privilege protection, which in turn allowed British newspapers to report events without fear of libel suits. Maxwell called the claims "ludicrous, a total invention" and sacked Davies.[44] A year later, in Galloway's libel settlement against Mirror Group Newspapers (in which he received "substantial" damages), Galloway's counsel announced that the MP accepted that the group's staff had not been involved in Vanunu's abduction. Galloway himself, however, referred to Maxwell as "one of the worst criminals of the century....The Maxwell companies filed for bankruptcy protection in 1992. Kevin Maxwell was declared bankrupt with debts of £400 million. In 1995, Kevin and Ian and two other former directors went on trial for conspiracy to defraud, but were unanimously acquitted by a twelve-man jury in 1996.”
Epstein's own weird history has been spoken of to some degree, and I'm not sure I have much to add at this point, but perhaps it's important in context.
Financier in sex abuse case went from math whiz to titan
He taught calculus and physics at the prestigious Dalton School, a prep school in Manhattan, from 1973 to 1975, despite not having a college degree. Attorney General William Barr's father, Donald Barr, was headmaster at the time...Epstein left Dalton in the mid-1970s for a job at Bear Stearns at the urging of a student's father who arranged a meeting with the chairman of the investment bank, according to published reports. He later began his own money-management business, J. Epstein & Co....Epstein has long obscured the source of his wealth. Even after his arrest, he refused to provide authorities with even basic information about his income and assets. His attorney said Epstein's lawyers intend to provide the information but want to make sure it is correct first. This much is clear: "He is a man of nearly infinite means," federal prosecutor Alex Rossmiller said in court....Epstein also forged a relationship with Leslie Wexner, the retail titan behind Victoria's Secret, The Limited and other store chains. He started managing Wexner's money in the late 1980s and helped straighten out the finances for a real estate development Wexner was backing in a wealthy Columbus, Ohio, suburb. It was through Wexner that [in1996] Epstein acquired his Manhattan mansion, a seven-story, 21,000-square-foot former prep school less than a block from Central Park. It has been valued at about $77 million.
Around the same time, Trump started dating Marla Maples, who was working at his Atlantic City Taj Mahal Casino:
(1988) The Untold Story of Trump Model Management (Part 1):
Donald Trump, for his part, was becoming increasingly restless, and reckless. Despite fathering 3 children and having a devoted wife, by all accounts he didn’t spend much time with any of them, preferring work and play to the routines of domestic life. In the 80’s he made at least two life changing decisions-to step out on his wife publicly, and to expand his negligible empire into Atlantic City casinos. He built Harrah’s at Trump Plaza in 1984, and a partially completed building that became Trump Castle in 1985-a property that would be managed by his first wife, Ivana. He also scooped up the Taj Mahal in 1988, which at a cost of $1.1 billion made it the most expensive casino ever built at the time.
Some weirdness starts to pop up here, at least allegedly. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer:
(10/27/83) GROUND BROKEN FOR RESORTS' 2D N.J. CASINO-HOTEL
Resorts International, which opened the city's first gambling hall 5 1/2 years ago, broke ground yesterday for a second casino-hotel that will cost $250 million to build and will contain 1,000 hotel rooms and the world's second-largest casino.
According to Wikipedia:
Resorts International was a hotel and casino company. From its origins as a paint company, it moved into the resort business in the 1960s with the development of Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and then expanded to Atlantic City, New Jersey with the opening of Resorts Casino Hotel in 1978.
So how did a paint company morph into a multimillion dollar casino company? We're going to have to go to conspiracy theorists again. Make of it what you will:
Goodfellas: The Hidden History of Resorts International:
Resorts International was largely a family affair that grew out of a company called the Mary Carter Paint Company."Mary Carter (she never existed) was pretty much a family affair controlled by Jim Crosby, two of his brothers, and his in-laws. Based in Tampa, Florida, the firm included in its directorate James Crosby, John Crosby (a plastic surgeon in Mobile, Alabama), William Crosby (a Tampa realtor), and the Murphy brothers, Henry and Tom, who'd married the Crosby daughters. Henry owned a funeral home in Trenton, New Jersey, while Tom was board chairman of Capital Cities Communications, a successful broadcasting business founded by explorer Lowell Thomas. The explorer too was an early shareholder in Mary Carter Paint, as was Republican Thomas Dewey." (Spooks, Jim Hougan, pg. 381)Acclaimed researchers Sally Denton and Roger Morris note: "... the Mary Carter Paint Company, which was widely considered to be a CIA front that laundered payments to the Cuban exile army in the early sixties..." (The Money and the Power, pg. 284).This is certainly quite plausible considering Mary Carter was then based out of Tampa, a hub for joint CIA-Syndicate efforts to assassinate Castro. As was noted before here, Tampa don Santo Trafficante, Jr. was one of the gangsters initially tapped by the CIA's notorious Office of Security to arrange for Castro's untimely demise. Trafficante, a close associate of Meyer Lansky (whom we shall return to again), had been deeply involved in Cuba's gambling operations prior to the revolution and would later become even more deeply immersed in the world heroin trade. As was noted before here, he was very close to the emerging Cuban Mafia, which provided ample recruits to the CIA during the early 1960s despite much suspicion that Trafficante was a double agent for Castro.Certainly the Mary Carter Paint Company would have been well positioned to assist Trafficante in these endeavors in Tampa. And such a connection would also explain why the corporation, in the mid-1960s (as CIA Cuban operations were winding down), abruptly sold off its paint business and boldly delved into gambling. By the end of the decade it was managing one of the most profitable casinos in the world on the Bahama's Paradise Island. What it amounts to is that by the late period James Crosby emerged as not only the CEO of Mary CarteResorts International, but as an extremely well connected figure within the GOP and beyond."... Crosby was himself uniquely situated in Republican circles: a sometime guest at the White House, he'd donated $100,000 to Nixon's 1968 campaign. He was also a friend of, and frequent host two, Bebe Rebozo (with whom he banked). Moreover, Crosby's private intelligence agency, Intertel, was even then working with White House aides and ITT executives to discredit Jack Anderson's revelations anent ITT and Chile. At the same time, Intertel was the de factocustodian of the demented billionaire Howard Hughes (his own $100,000 donation would later result in two volumes of Senate testimony in the Watergate affair). Indeed, the ties between Paradise Island and Richard Nixon's administration were of the sort that bind: Allan Butler, owner of the failing bank that was his namesake, claims the Nixon was a silent partner of Crosby's in his Bahamian ventures, sharing a healthy chunk of Paradise Island bridge revenues with yet another secret partner, Bebe Rebozo. And by by no means finally, James O. Golden, Resorts' vice-president and one of Intertel's founding spooks, had formerly served as Nixon's Secret Service shield, later taking charge of security for the Nixon forces at the GOP's 1968 convention in Miami Beach. That Paradise Island is a special place, and had a special place in the heart (or what passed for a heart) of the Nixon regime, is abundantly clear... (Spooks, Jim Hougan, pg. 180) ...And that brings us to possibly the most curious aspects of Resorts, namely its ownership of its own vast private intelligence network. It was known as Intertel, short for International Intelligence, Inc. Intertel was incorporated in 1970 as an almost wholly-owned subsidiary of Resorts International and hit the ground running. During its heyday, Intertel had an impressive roster and an international reach. It would turn up in host of intrigues throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Curiously, it had its origins with Robert Kennedy's "Get Hoffa" squad."... Intertel, known especially and remarkably for its composition of former organized crime strike force attorneys from Robert Kennedy's Justice Department... The IRS considered Intertel... 'an organized crime enterprise of some type aimed at the Bahamas,' as one account summed up the agency's view. Roberts Peloquin and William Hundley, Kennedy's top crime fighters, had joined the firm and recruited operatives from the CIA, FBI, IRS, Secret Service, and other intelligence agencies. Staffed exclusively by what one author called 'Get Hoffa agents,' it was likened into a corporate CIA.' (The Money and the Power, Sally Denton & Roger Morris, pg. 284)...Intertel's other ventures include spying of muckraker Jack Anderson) for ITT, investigating the Chicago Tylenol murders and the Bhopal disaster. Even more ominous, however, were its dealings with a shady Belgium-based private detective agency known as Agence de Recherche et d'Information (ARI). As was noted before here, ARI was linked to members of the neo-fascist terror organization known as the Westland New Post, a few of whom had also been implicated in drug trafficking and pedophile rings. Intertel reportedly hired ARI to do some work for them during the 1980s....What is of great interest to us here is Trump's third Atlantic City casino: the Taj Mahal. While now widely associated with Trump, thanks in no small part to it leading to his first bankruptcy, it was not in fact Trump who started the casino. That dubious distinction lies with Resorts International. The company had begun construction on the Taj Mahal in 1983, but had run into persistent difficulties in finishing construction in the following years. Then, in April 1986, James Crosby died suddenly. This left Resorts in turmoil (allegedly) and Trump stepped in. Trump bought a controlling stake in the company in 1987 and was promptly named its chairman of the board.Let that sink in for a moment: Donald J. Trump, the current President of the United States, was briefly the chairman of a corporation long suspected of being a CIA front, that had decades-spanning involvement with the Syndicate, numerous "rogue" financiers, various drug and arms traffickers and which owned a vast private intelligence network...."
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer:
(07/22/87) TRUMP COMPLETES THE DEAL FOR RESORTS INTERNATIONAL
Developer Donald Trump took control of Resorts International Inc. yesterday in a $79 million deal that gives him his third Atlantic City casino, including what will be the largest gaming hall in the city.Trump sealed the deal in New York with those connected to the estate of the late founder of Resorts International, James M. Crosby.Trump paid a cash price of $135 a share for 585,068 shares of Class B stock, which has 100 times the voting power of Class A stock. He is expected to make a formal tender offer for the remaining 167,230 shares of Class B stock within the next several weeks at the same $135-a-share price. Owning all the Class B stock would give him 93 percent of the company's voting power. At a board meeting immediately after the transaction with the Crosby estate, Trump was elected chairman of the board of Resorts International, replacing Henry B. Murphy, Crosby's brother-in-law, who resigned.
And his relationship with Ivana was falling apart:
(1989) Ex-Wife: Donald Trump Made Me Feel ‘Violated’ During Sex
After a painful scalp reduction surgery to remove a bald spot, Donald Trump confronted his then-wife, who had previously used the same plastic surgeon.“Your fucking doctor has ruined me!” Trump cried. What followed was a “violent assault,” according to Lost Tycoon. Donald held back Ivana’s arms and began to pull out fistfuls of hair from her scalp, as if to mirror the pain he felt from his own operation. He tore off her clothes and unzipped his pants.“Then he jams his penis inside her for the first time in more than sixteen months. Ivana is terrified… It is a violent assault,” Hurt writes. “According to versions she repeats to some of her closest confidantes, ‘he raped me.’”Following the incident, Ivana ran upstairs, hid behind a locked door, and remained there “crying for the rest of night.” When she returned to the master bedroom in the morning, he was there.“As she looks in horror at the ripped-out hair scattered all over the bed, he glares at her and asks with menacing casualness: ‘Does it hurt?’” Hurt writes.
In 1992, Trump would divorce Ivana. It's this same year that we find him arranging a party of 30 for himself, Jeffrey Epstein, and 28 young aspiring calendar girls:
(1992) Trump Was Alone at a 1992 Party with 28 Girls and Accused Sex Trafficker Jeffrey Epstein
Part of a “calendar girl” competition organized at Trump’s request, the party was put together by a businessman named George Houraney, who spoke with the New York Times for a story published Tuesday.Houraney was also one of many to accuse Trump of sexual harassment, this time toward his former girlfriend and business partner, Jill Harth, who described an incident in 1997 as an attempted rape by Trump.“I arranged to have some contestants fly in,” Houraney told the Times. “At the very first party, I said, ‘Who’s coming tonight? I have 28 girls coming.’ It was him and Epstein.”...Before the “calendar girl” event, Houraney warned Trump about Epstein once again.“Look, Donald, I know Jeff really well, I can’t have him going after younger girls,” Houraney recalled telling Trump in the Times interview. “He said: ‘Look I’m putting my name on this. I wouldn’t put my name on it and have a scandal.’”
[EDIT: MSNBC reports on 07/17/2019 on newly discovered footage of Trump and Epstein discussing women at a party in November of 1992.]
The Boston Globe reported:
(1992) The pageant of Donald Trump’s dreams
It was a snowy night in Manhattan, December 1992, and the festive group was embarking on a circuit of exclusive clubs after a sumptuous dinner at the Plaza Hotel’s Oak Room.As the limo wove through the city, Trump discussed his views on dating, according to one of the women riding along. The billionaire casino mogul declared that “all women are bimbos” and said most were “gold diggers” who would be smart to go after men with money. Like him.Rhonda Noggle, the model who relayed the story to the Globe in an interview, said that, at that point, she had had enough. Speaking sharply to Trump, she said, she asked him to stop the limo. The car grew silent.
(1989-1995) The Untold Story of Trump Model Management (Part 1):
1989-1995 just so happens to be the same time period in which Donald Trumps world and empire was falling apart at the seams. In the beginning of the decade he was facing the end of his first marriage and a looming court battle. Despite his purportedly active dating life, by many accounts Trump was being rejected by many, if not most, of the women he pursued-including Carla Bruni and Jill Hearth. Marla Maples, after years of being the secret mistress and repeated rounds of being dumped and publicly humiliated by Trump, was starting to lose her patience. And the big gamble he took in Atlantic City was, by all accounts, failing miserably-a direct result of his jaw droppingly awful business practices and general incompetence. In 1991, his Taj Mahal Casino filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. In 1992, he again filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy again, this time on his Trump Plaza Hotel (also in Atlantic City), at the time owing $550 million dollars. Recall that he would report an almost 1 billion dollar loss on his 1995 tax returns, according to the copies obtained by the New York Times. Indeed, the early 90’s were not a very good era for Donald Trump. In light of this fact, it’s worth noting that the sexual assault allegations against him are all clustered within this very time frame. [Note: This article was written in 2016, prior to more allegations]...By the time “New York Magazine” did a front page profile of him in 1988, Casablancas reputation for bedding young models was established and begrudgingly accepted (a price to pay in exchange for his “genius”) within the New York social scene, but the expose came as a shock to many outside the bubble. John Casablancas would soon find out that he was not as untouchable as he thought he was. In the article-which ran under the title “Girl Crazy”-Casablancas was portrayed as a champagne guzzling pervert, singularly dedicated to the “new look” department of Elite where he spent his days ogling the scantily clad, sometimes naked bodies of teenage girls. In light of Donald Trump’s more alarming comments and decisions around his daughter Ivanka, this quote stands out:"Casablancas talked about his seventeen year old daughter, Cecile. He said Cecile had been solicited by a photographer last summer on a beach in Ibiza. The photographer asked her to pose in a bikini, and Casablancas raced over to try to get a $2,000 fee for the shot. “She’s got a great little body” he told his models."Another quote that brings a chuckle and a nod of recognition in this story is Casablancas’s bizarre pride over never having changed a diaper. Donald Trump would make similar boasts in a Howard Stern interview a few years later. Compelling proof this is not, but I do believe it’s a hint at the kind of Don Juan persona that Don, far from a Juan, actually a dejected, balding husband with a crumbling empire....But the scandal did not end there, nor did it begin. Less than a month earlier 60 minutes aired a prime-time special on the abuses of underage girls in the modeling industry. Investigative reporter Craig Pyes portrayed the modeling industry as infested with agents who were notorious hustlers and playboys. His report revealed that both Claude Haddad- the head of European scouting for Ford- and Ford’s Paris-based agent Jean-Luc Brunel had been accused of horrific sexual misconduct by many models. [Note: Brunel's name appears multiple times on Epstein's flight manifests.] The special aired the interviews of dozens of women who accused both Brunel and Haddad of a litany of crimes, ranging from racist invective towards black models to violent rape. And in fact the hidden camera footage captured in filming the special caught it all- from Xavier lamenting about n**er models, to Haddad chuckling about drugging and raping 13 year old girls. According to Model At a retreat soon after the one-two punch delivered by the coverage, Haddad, Jean Luc Brunel and Casablancas were once again overheard (albeit not taped this time around) laughing about their crimes. Alternatively they were angry when confronted by interim scouting manager Trudi Tapscott - ”I’m a man and I have needs, I will not apologize for that!” Casablancas is said to have declared....Over time Donald Trump would emerge from the ruins of his empire with a new approach to business, and a new source of income-in 1996 he bought the rights to the Miss Universe franchise, and became the central figure in the running of these pageants. And in 1999 he started a modeling agency - T models, later changed to Trump Model Management. The correlation of interests is quite clear-for a man awkward around women but dependent on his public image saying otherwise, a stable of women under his employ was a way to boost his image-and even better, he was able to lock all of these women into non disclosure agreements, ensuring that his behavior with them had little chance of becoming public knowledge. It also appeared to have served as a useful tool regarding his business transactions-which, in the aftermath of his bankruptcy, were increasingly dependent on some less than savory characters. How he did this, and the breadth of this activity, will be explored in the next installment. But for the time being, there is one final aspect of this story that is breathtaking, and speaks more to the character of Donald Trump than anything else.

She especially can’t stand the judgmental and arrogant Darius. Yet as Zuri and Darius are forced to find common ground, their initial dislike shifts into an unexpected understanding.

Transcript of George Webb Video Series Part 275 "Hillary's Leakers, Hackers, and Henchmen" [@Georgwebb / #HRCRatline]

  • Day 124.5 Fridman, Aven, and Khan - Looting Ukrainian Treasury - YouTube
    • This is Day 124 part 5
    • And it's fun to scoop the mainstream news
    • Why?
    • Because they don't do their homework
    • They don't learn about a story
    • And then they have to Google at the end to try to figure it all out
    • Everyone right now, all over the world, is trying to figure out who Alex Van der Zwaan is
    • Nobody can seem to figure it out
    • Well I'll tell you who he is
    • He's the son of German Kahn
    • Why do I know that name German Kahn?
    • Why do I know that German Khan's a Russian oligarch?
    • Why do I know Alex Van Der Zwaan's a Russian-speaking son of a Russian oligarch?
    • Why do I know that German Khan tried to basically empty the Ukrainian treasury?
    • And I'm not saying Paul Manafort knew that he was emptying the ukrainian treasury, but it was one of the guys that was emptying ukrainian treasury
    • And you tend to remember when forty billion dollars goes missing, and you launder it through Cyprus, and into a Miami real estate it's all very simple
    • Now, if you were a co-conspirator with two other guys--and I'll tell you who these two other guys are pretty soon--along with Fusion GPS, it would be smart to sue Fusion GPS just saying
    • And wouldn't say well they have to be on opposite sides because they're suing Fusion GPS right
    • They're not co-conspirators--They're opponents they're adversaries right
    • Well let me give you the other two guys that are involved in the lawsuit
    • But first Alex vanderzwaan is also a lawyer okay
    • And he is working was an intermediary for the folks here--I'm gonna just say Clinton Foundation from right now--because I'm involved in litigation
    • But this was Timoshenko
    • Timoshenko was put in jail by who by you Yanukovych Yanukovych was Paul Manafort man
    • They put her in jail for looting the Ukrainian Treasury
    • Now, it seems like Mueller is putting all of Yanukovych cronies into jail for looting the Ukrainian Treasury
    • Looting the Ukrainian Treasury seems to be a popular pastime
    • So anyway, there's the indictment just for making a false statement
    • Of course they don't say where he lives are giving address--we're going to be there of course at 2:30 for his arraignment
    • But for some real background on this, you're gonna know already who these people are, because you've been watching this series
    • And I'm sorry if I feel a little bit buoyant here
    • But it's just because the people on this channel do the work
    • And so when stuff comes out, you immediately understand it all
    • Here's Friedman Mr. Alfa Bank Friedman here's Petr Aven--Mr. Alfa Bank Petr Aven
    • Here's the guys who made their infrastructure available, so Trump Tower could be hacked
    • You know these names already
    • This is the biskits man this is the other biscuit man right
    • Now, he's in there with German Khan
    • And these three hurt Souls these three injured Souls, got their feelings hurt by Fusion GPS
    • So they are gonna sue sue sue this so-called dossier maker in this show trial, in the sham trial, in this paper-mache trial, to try to show that they're opponents
    • Well, I don't think that they're actually opponents
    • So if you have read this far
    • And this is Alfa Bank--all about the hacking, about trying to make Trump look like he was transferring money
    • And you remember me saying, and this morning that these oligarchs were really nothing more
    • And I quoted this this Hopf this this guy from Florida I'm trying to remember his name Hopsicker I was taken to that hopscotch game
    • This guy Hopsicker of saying these guys were all just criminals they're all just drug runners and money launderers that have gotten suits now
    • The only thing that's really changed as they've gotten suits
    • Here's a 2000 case where Friedman and Aven are getting sued based by the Public Integrity Center for drug running and organized crime
    • The only thing that's improved with Hillary's involvement have been the quality of their suits, and the quality of their interviews from CNN and BuzzFeed
  • Day 124.7. Van Der Zwaan Exit. No Comments - YouTube
    • It looks like vanderzwaan is gonna be exiting here pretty quick
    • Give em the go sign
    • So here's the defence counsel--it looks like one of the defense advisers
    • Any comments on the case sir?
    • No?
    • Do you feel like he was treated fairly?
    • He's coming through the glass doors now
    • Do you feel like you were treated fairly?
    • Do you feel like you were treated fairly, sir?
    • Do you feel like you were set up in some way?
  • Day 125.1 Up Close and Personal, Better Journalism - YouTube
    • It's day 125
    • And this is gonna be a media critique this news conference was Friday about the Russian meddling
    • That's when the indictment came out none of the real facts of the indictment still have made the media five days later
    • I finally saw CNN last night with Task Force nothing nothing
    • Most people have this concept that it's some building that there was all these trolls in
    • There was 13 trolls they bought a whole bunch of $3 ads
    • They spent $54 in Wisconsin 311 in Michigan and about 170 in Ohio and Pennsylvania
    • And they were dumb because they didn't know what a purple state was until they came to the United States
    • That's most people's understanding
    • What really happened was four people try to get in the United States
    • Three people did come in
    • There was one ringleader and two people that were kind of more satellites
    • They threatened a toxic plume in Louisiana
    • They threatened an Ebola scare in Atlanta
    • And they also threatened a civil unrest, through a racially-charged on a one-armed woman being shot by a police officer
    • This was the terrorism--this was the terrorism
    • Now, it's in the indictment, but for some reason, alternative media, the web media, YouTube mainstream media: no one has covered that
    • I give ourselves a high marks here our understanding of this is far superior
    • And this when I haven't heard one person in any of those media forms mention these things, and this is critical to understanding
    • Moving on to the drugs
    • So I think the chronology here is important because I start in Detroit with the pain clinics, and then move to across the river into Canada
    • And we talk about pain clinics there I'm with the Canadian filmmaker
    • And she's been had this close relationship almost inside this tribe of Pak ISI--these international criminals
    • They're living the high life
    • This is kind of Ibrahim lifestyle
    • They're flying on all these jets first class they're having all these fancy parties are going all of these top events that got all this weapon culture
    • And it's sort of like--married to the mob was the story of the Canadian filmmaker
    • But never quite knowing what the what the illegal illegality he was--just always trying to put the finger like how is this all happening why are we flying to UAE
    • And Pakistan
    • And all these different places on
    • And how could these people be on these international Interpol crime lists
    • And yet get passports and citizenship in the United States through through film loopholes...and it really hit home--
    • I had some understanding of CIA in there--development of different drugs...
    • But I didn't have the up-close personal--talking to people who had actually experienced this
    • And the whole drug business one thing I didn't mention as I met this young Israeli gal she's maybe 27 a real pretty blonde gal that met me
    • And she I have done a film earlier in the morning if she recognized a restaurant
    • She came out to meet me
    • And I thought is this maybe helping me I don't know
    • But anyway she had said yeah everything that you've kind of been talking about
    • And Deep Uranium it said hey it's animal products--animal Pharma that's being repilled it's legitimate bottles of legitimate drugs in cheap bottles being thrown out
    • And then having the drugs put in different bottles for legitimate manufacturers
    • It's all this stuff--everything you would think of animal pharma being crushed and put in these refilling machines...
    • So she confirmed all that, but then she also was an investigator looking into these murders at these mosques
    • And it was being assigned to like--crazy white supremacist sort of thing
    • She said no no that's actually not what it is at all
    • It's these Hells Angels that kind of run roughshod over all these families
    • These families these immigrant families have come in, and they're trying to get their kids an education
    • And the wife does the pilling and the guy drives the--the limo during the day to try to make ends meet
    • And if they ever mess up they get killed
    • And there had been a killing at a mosque up in Quebec City, where four people have been killed that she was doing quite a bit of research work on that
    • So be interesting to hear a comment from her if she still watches the channel--that'd be interesting
    • But those are the types of things that really deepen your understanding, sort of like this situation, where you really understand what's going on by actually going there
    • Versus just having this very superficial idea of "oh well Russian meddling you know."
    • Now, we need to sanction a whole bunch of Russians
    • And we need to maybe go to war and kill a bunch of Russians
    • Well you should make those decisions with such superficial knowledge, when actually this is what happened right here
    • And you should actually target the sanctions toward the people that actually commit the crimes
    • Not smear a whole country willy-nilly
    • So going to to Yale was interesting because it was almost like seeing the drug business at--Skull and Bones and all that
    • It had been put into kind of ritual--almost like this Masonic ritual
    • And this SES it remind him such as SES, which is we're gonna take all these good people
    • We're gonna line them all up, and get them to do what we want
    • We're gonna put them down in this 313--[333] this evil bucket this half evil bucket
    • We're gonna have this kind of--you're
    • Now, kind of like the arbiter of what's good and bad
    • You decide who lives and who dies...
    • And that's definitely the feeling I got it Yale there was definitely a haughtiness of the elites
    • I love Yale as well--there's a lot of fantastic things about Yale
    • But I did have--there is this kind of thread this evil thread running through there, thinking, "hey we are the ones who decide who lives and who dies. We're we're the one who who manages this funnel, and we decide who lives or dies"
    • And this is a--this is the I believe the essence of the Deep State getting to this, and breaking this up
    • This SES these eight thousand different people that Hillary has put in there
    • And a lot of them had come from Canada they had spent time in NATO...as executives in the Canadian government
    • And then they were being brought in, above all these career diplomatic career people in the United States these SES
    • So I thought a Victoria Nuland for some reason is the face of SES for me
    • There's probably others
    • So then coming into Long Island, and again, getting a much deeper understanding if somebody who was like right there, involved, knows that some of the people, knows actually how this works with the police and the police actually involved in sort of the recruiting and pimping of these girls
    • And then how these girls are being kept in these houses for weeks
    • Then murdered, when they're finally or when they finally suicide
    • That there's these houses, safe houses of five six seven guys kind of like a fraternity house
    • And these are these girls are kept like a den sister, as a reward at the end of the day for the--running your drug routes
    • It just really gave me a much deeper understanding of the drug business, and I just didn't have that it at that time
    • So I'll finish off here finally with the drill down on this story, which is the Van Der Zwann's story
    • Again, CNN--a lawyer involved with Paul Manafort millions of dollars going from Ukraine to the United States money laundering
    • Boy the Trumps gonna get it now
    • Nothing could be further from the truth
    • These are the three guys
    • This poor kid here you could just tell he was this this kid trying to be a go-between he's kind of this polo club kid that been raised in London--MI6 agent kind of thing
    • And just kind of a international Bobby Vaughn
    • Now, he's like "oh wait a minute I didn't realize it--Weismann's was gonna stab me in the back. McCabe was gonna stab me in the back
    • It's really Friedman, Aven, Kahn
    • Mr. Bisquit one Biscuit two then Khan that were--looting this Ukrainian Treasury right
    • And finally I did hear the name German Kahn on CNN last night
    • I was with Task Force almost fell off my chair it's like oh my GOD they actually said the name German Kahn
    • And looked deeper than just this lawyer being--just yet another Domino in the indictments that was kind of the story last night
    • And I was I was shocked to see that actually somebody actually mentioned German Kahn
    • This is where the story is going
    • The Manafor-Podesta transfers
    • And how that money-laundering happened through the Cayman Island and through Cyprus and the Gubarev is the whole story
    • It's all developing in front of our eyes as they are throwing stones over here trying to get Trump, they keep revealing more of the actual inner working of the Podesta-Manafort money funnel
    • And the money laundering funnel
    • And it's becoming very interesting to see actually how that whole thing worked
    • Sort of in the similar way of getting an education on how the drug business worked here or getting an education on how actually the indictment was selectively covered for only a piece of what actually happened
    • And I guess the final on all this is this form here with this open source journalism is deeper understanding it's it's there's feedback it's interactive and it's better
    • And this is how decisions are made with more information more understanding of true information
    • You make better decisions
    • When you're talking about impeaching the president of the United States, you don't want to have cursory, incorrect, superficial understandings of anything
    • If you're going after the drug business you don't want to go after the cashiers
    • You want to go after the people with the encrypted Blackberries--that are the Hells Angels--that are running the show
    • That's how it's done
    • You want to get rid of the strain the swamp in Washington you can't just fire one or two people
    • You have to take out this SES
    • You have to say hey everybody gone we're eliminating SES--
    • I'd say eliminate at least six two thousand of the eight thousand positions gone
    • We're gonna retire you
    • We don't need them anymore we're gonna go to people who've been at least in the in their industry to be an executive at the department at least five years in your department
    • Or ten I think is even better
    • Why would you want someone running a department that doesn't know anything about it?
    • Somebody from over in Homeland Security is now, coming in to BLM and managing BLM
    • What are they gonna do? They're gonna put guns everywhere
    • They're gonna put bulletproof vests everywhere
    • They're gonna buy tanks
    • And they're gonna start taking land from farmers and ranchers
    • That's what they did--that's what happened
    • That's why the people who are in these IRS and different different departments should be run by people who came up through the ranks and know the business, and have the respect of the people that work there you
  • Day 125.2 Is Weissman Feeding Us Bolshevic Biscuits? - YouTube
    • It's day 125 this is part 2
    • And I always like drilling down the next day and doing analysis of something I saw up close and personal
    • And I was surprised no other reporters tried to ask any questions
    • I asked him three questions as Swann got closer and closer to the vehicle
    • And I saw a subtle expression change
    • And I saw the same sort of curl with Mike Flynn--I know nobody wants to hear that
    • But I got this is kind of the expression that I got, which is "don't worry everything's been worked out--I'm not going to do any time"
    • And as a matter of fact, I'm gonna still keep doing what I've been doing which is being a go-between for different interests in the Ukraine for gas and oil and metals, and all over Eastern Europe
    • And he speaks Russian
    • But he I listened to that accent over and over
    • And it's just so much Dutch
    • And so much polished poshy English he--just I said "broker broker broker"
    • This guy's a broker
    • He's a he's a continental man
    • He's MI6 or or whatever the Dutch equivalent is
    • He is just all they Eton and cricket fields of Eton...is this background
    • I just said he's not the son of Russian
    • He didn't grow up in Russia
    • He grew up on the cricket fields of Eton early on
    • I'm not saying he wasn't born and spent a lot of time in Belgium and spent a lot of time in Holland as well and--his French you could just tell is is good
    • And he's been kind of moving in and out anxiously through the NATO corridors, and through Brussels...he's a negotiator
    • And middleman he's a broker
    • And I thought this is the guy if I was Friedman, and I was selling Russia by the pound
    • Or I was selling Ukraine by the pound, this would be a key ally
    • And I saw this little curl of a smile on the third question
    • He was really trying to keep that oh my GOD I'm going to jail face
    • And then he broke right here into a little curl of a smile he's like I've almost made the car I fooled everybody here
    • And that's just my analysis of seeing it up close and personal
    • And this is my third question, and I was trying to get to that Mike Flynn moment that curl of a smile about hey I know what's going on here
    • So I'm gonna call this episode the Bolshevik Biscuit Factory
    • And the may seem like a jump to you, but the father of this I'll go back a second here the father
    • I'll just connect the dots here for grooves
    • So people might think that's too big of a jump the his father-in-law is this Khan guy
    • And they're in business CON or KHAN--he's not really a KHAN but a CON
    • And you'll see that in a second he's it is a co n
    • And he's in with these two biscuit guys
    • Bolshevik biscuits is probably you remember Friedman or Pillsbury Doughboy Bolshevik biscuits
    • So let's go to Bolshevik biscuits for those people who don't know Bolshevik biscuits was kind of a Moscow institution
    • It was always kind of seen as a success model
    • The old communists used to tour people through Bolshevik biscuits
    • Everyone was so happy it was a kind of a national pride symbol of I don't know just--
    • The way we like our Oreo cookies--Bolshevik biscuits was that sort of thing
    • Well when the Soviet Union privatized, they gave everybody vouchers
    • There was even this heroic art around Bolshevik biscuits--that this was these these are the biscuits they got the brave Red Army through the war, and won the war for the Red Army--that sort of folklore
    • So this was the first business that was privatized when the Soviet Union fell
    • Now, if you remember your Friedman, and in that clutch of people that want to sell off all the assets of Russia, and then every one of the satellite countries as the satellite countries fall off and privatize right
    • Well you don't want to start out with saying, "well first we're going to do all your oil companies, then we're going to do your Uranium, and then we're going to follow up with all the gas, and then all the gold ad then platinum"
    • "And then when we finally get down to business we're gonna let you people have a few biscuits"
    • Sort of like--"let them eat cake" kind of attitude
    • No, what you want to do is you want to start out with giving everybody the first vouchers
    • And let them get into the biscuit company, let everybody feel like privatizations a good thing
    • And it really was kind of going to the heart of Mother Russia
    • And this idea of letting people emotionally connect with privatization, as a part of this process "of life's gonna be better, trust me"
    • "The old communism is is should be put away we should--release all of our industries to these private smart guys, and they're gonna make it better for Russia"
    • So who was the face of that of course it's Biscuit boy, its Pillsbury Doughboy its Friedman okay
    • Now, it was Fried man he had an e in his name, he dropped the e to I don't know why
    • But it's oh he creates this company called Alfa Bank all right
    • And Alfa Bank is just what it sounds like it's for the alpha male supposedly what they think it's alpha males
    • And we're gonna create this Bank to funnel all the assets out of Russia
    • So Alpha Bank is going to start off with the biscuits, right, which could be a cover for anything--like the drug business, let's say
    • But then we're gonna get quickly into gold metals a Uranium gas oil...
    • If you start looking at the other partners in the business you you see how readily that
    • Well let's let's say we are selling Russia by the pound, and we've got it we want a place to talk about it: well let's go to Maryland
    • Let's do it let's have a compound let's build them a compound to sell off Russia by the pound
    • And over at the Y East Conference Center--a couple of miles away we'll have all our international conferences--we'll put some FSB guys in here
    • And wire it for sound
    • So we'll always have the best bid on on all the takings as we sell Russia by the pound
    • That sounds like a really good plan
    • So let's talk about Herman Khan
    • Again, no one is reporting this who is German Khan--his name is I believe really Herman Borisovitch
    • His name is not Khan--he's not a Muslim in any way shape or form--he's Jewish
    • And I believe his name was Herman
    • But because his father I believe was had a little bit of German blood
    • But anyway we won't go there he's a big alpha group guy--it's Alfa Bank Alfa Bank alpha bank
    • And if you look at his history
    • And again, it's not a secret I mean you have to go to run Google Translate--I mean I didn't I'm no genius in Russian translation
    • But you can see the same thing--it's they all are metallurgy
    • Here metallurgy and so forth
    • And then they get involved in echo where have you heard that echo 1 in Nigeria...and then Rosneft this is the oil company
    • So it always goes back to the oil the oil get you the pipelines
    • Pipelines get you the police force--the DynCorp police force
    • Then you get everything else--you get all the ratlines once you get the police force, you get everything else
    • The same tried-and-true method right
    • So then I started looking, and said well how about our friends where would you put your biscuits?
    • Let's say you're gonna dump all this money into in the United States you're gonna negotiate all these deals out in Maryland
    • And you're gonna what are you gonna do with it?
    • Well hey--Boris our borscht shaiva Hermann whatever...why don't you put it into hotels?
    • It's like monopoly you can buy houses, but man you should really get hotels
    • We can put them in a couple of places where we got this Trump guy we could push stuff through him
    • We could put some stuff in New Jersey
    • We could put some stuff in--different golf courses...
    • And we can also do Miami Miami Miami
    • It's gonna be warm there, we got this racetrack, we can the Gulfstream Park
    • We could put all the biscuit money that comes from drugs
    • And we're gonna run drugs in all these parts that drop off from the Soviet Union like Ukraine
    • We're gonna create organized crime with all these organized criminals
    • We're gonna create Russian mafia in all these countries
    • We're gonna have all this money we're better than Miami to dump it and process it through?
    • Now, I'm not saying that Bogacheva here the lawyer that's listed in the indictment is that person
    • I'm not saying Westerman in that firm is Bogacheva with a shorter haircut...and a smile etc
    • Somebody else will make that comparison
    • But I am saying that if I'm going to put my biscuits somewhere--my biscuits meaning my smart girls that I helped come up through the ranks and get their education for them, so they could help me put my investments in Miami
    • I'm gonna call those the Bolshevik biscuits--in a kind of a what do you call it a endearing term
    • Those are my Bolshevik biscuits, right?
    • Well let's see let's talk about the Bolshevik biscuits
    • Now, these are the people that are supposedly involved in the indictment
    • Well here you go Bachelor of law from presidential academy--national economy public administration
    • That sounds good
    • Here it is law of Public Services: great okay
    • Now, these people don't sound like terrorists
    • They sound like people who are good at EB-5s and LLC's
    • Here's working at the Siberian Center that's for again, biscuits
    • That's grain right
    • Here we go again, public administration again,
    • Siberian agrarian Holdings
    • Again, does it sound like a terrorist to me it sounds like somebody who specializes in EB-5s and LLCs
    • Comes to America, works in these law offices in Pennsylvania, Russian language instructor at Florida International University
    • Doesn't just appear to be a bad person at all
    • Actually seems to be pretty solid okay
    • And there's the address...now I'm not saying those two people are associated
    • But they would be buying properties like this or the Trump Hollywood we would be a classic place
    • And I believe Trump Hollywood was built on Russian money
    • I'll just go ahead and say it I think a lot of Trumps hotels in Atlantic City were built on Russian money
    • Now, does that mean Trump was complicit? I don't think so
    • I think that he just convenient guy who would have had a name, and could attract a lot of investment
    • And it was also a great cover "hey Trump's building a hotel"
    • Russian oligarchs that are selling Russia by the pound aren't building casinos and hotels on Miami Beach
    • What do you do if you lose the election?
    • Well how about just killing off one of the Ukrainian businessman that you did business with?
    • And just say Trump was in cahoots with him
    • Kill off five or six ambassadors who know about the deal, and just say hey is this Alex Oronov--he looks like a bad guy
    • He looks like a "Boris bad enough"
    • We're gonna say he did it--just kill him off
    • And then say Trump colluded with him
    • That's what I think is going to happen
    • Just that simple--its selling its first selling people on the idea of biscuits
    • So sell them on the idea of biscuits
    • Privatize, sell Russia by the pound
    • Go out and meet in Centreville
    • Put your biscuits down in Miami with your biscuits lawyers
    • And you are good to go
  • Day 125.3 Is Tech Mahindra the New Mylan Pharma/Tech? - YouTube
    • It's day 125 this is part three
    • And the first stop on one of the first stops I make when I go to Washington DC is I go to this light bridge communications
    • Light bridge communications Imran Awan had that on his resume
    • He also had this company called cell plan on his resume which was associated with Tahir Javed
    • And because I had a background in technology I immediately gravitated toward that, and I had done a lot on a DynCorp
    • So you could literally see this building within the shadow of DynCorp's new building
    • So I went there initially before I actually went to the houses
    • And I was trying to figure out why would an Indian drug company--Tech Mahindra--big in pharmaceuticals...
    • And with this kind of silent ownership by this Ibrahim this drug warlor that kind of is both in Pakistan and India have cell towers in Virginia--it just seemed very odd
    • And that there were there was the cell hacking stories of Imran Awan hacking his mother-in-law...
    • I thought why would somebody in the drug business and a drug lord hack cell towers?
    • And I thought well that would be good to know where law enforcement is
    • It would be good to hack in to get deals
    • And you could see I just typed in "George Webb Lightbridge communications" and up came up the Tech Mahindra acquisition of LCC
    • And it said 700 employees--it just makes good sense that a drug company should buy a cell tower company
    • And I thought huh: it would only really make sense if you already had seven hundred extra EB-5s that you didn't--want to didn't have a use for
    • You could bring 700 people into the country I also met Jason about a month later
    • You could see I was still very much on this idea that the odds were very technically oriented
    • They were bringing in technical people--routers to ratlines--it was just it was all about the EB-5 and bringing people in during that
    • And also I just want to compliment Jason again, for his great direction skills: number one
    • The whole idea of a studio in a gym bag
    • But then also great interviewing skills
    • He really brought out some great things in that interview and many cut it we had about a ha an hour
    • And 40 minutes I think he cut down to 40 minutes and just a meticulous job there and well done
    • So if you don't remember Tech Mahindra they're in all these top tens in biotech three of the top five pharmaceuticals three of the top five all these strategic partnerships etc
    • But then I always look down at the bottom and I always go to the bottom and kind of read up--that's what they kind of want to hide
    • They do all the packaging for drug companies
    • And they also do the serialization which prevents fraud
    • Now, thinking this is a drug lord--a Pakistani Indian drug lord who's done all these bombings...is in control of this
    • This is does not a good thing
    • So if you don't remember the episode it starts out I put the packaging there
    • Now, later later I've gone back and put the true dates on there
    • And you could see I starts look I'm not sure if you can see Dyncorp's new
    • And that's the new building therefore DynCorp sorry about the echo
    • So quickly here's Mylan Pharmaceuticals you may have a relationship with Tech Mahindra for labeling...we need to learn more about it
    • But there's no doubt about the fact they were just reading written up in there a nearby Mumbai plant for not doing the correct serialization data management
    • But here is their situation they've got 40 different plants mile
    • And this key generics maker in the United States based in West Virginia has 40 different plants
    • And worldwide operations all these different pharmaceutical plants oral dose sites etc
    • And fentanyl obviously is one of the big one of the big bit industries for my land
    • So we're gonna take you a little train ride we're gonna start in Charlottesville where the members of Congress got derailed
    • just
    • So you remember that oh here here's Mumbai here this is where all the bombings have happened that 'ibraheem has done to make sure the ports stay open
    • And here's karachi over here which is really his home base of operations he kind of operates in this area
    • And kind of this what I would call a Punjab area if for lack of a better word I would say the old Mughal Empire if I had to say
    • So let's start you on the train here we're going to make sure act like the Train never of derailed
    • And we're gonna get you over here to the Monongahela force we're gonna take a left at this Green Bank observatory what's that well it's a huge radio telescope operation it's
    • So secret for the Navy that they don't even let you use your cell phone when you're there
    • So for instance--you can see here at the National Radio observatory Astronomy Observatory they're looking out in deep space
    • But they're also looking at weather weather patterns looking at the Sun for weather weather patterns...immediately you can start seeing how you could use some of this information for buying futures on the crap markets...and all sorts of different looks at deep science I worked with a guy where we did a lot of data reduction
    • And data mining
    • And he found he actually worked in Caltech
    • And he he found a lot of galaxies just through mathematical techniques
    • So anyway I didn't know him very well
    • But he was very brilliant data reduction guy data mining guy
